Overview

There’s nothing more demoralising for a potentially talented fundraiser than trying to raise funds without the skills to succeed. With the Fundraising Talent Programme you’ll develop solid fundraising and marketing skills and gain the confidence and ability to grow your charity’s income, whatever the fundraising opportunity. Designed and delivered by Change Q’s award winning fundraising consultants the Fundraising Talent Programme was designed to meet your needs as a fundraiser and to help you develop a supporter-focused fundraising approach.

It was also designed to suit your life and work needs – providing life-sized bites of online learning modules, which you consume at your own pace, plus the equivalent of 3 days expert consultancy coaching, in short, easily managed group sessions which help you progress real work goals. You also get to choose 4 specialist fundraising topic modules, so you enhance your learning rather than repeating what you already know.

As you go through the Programme you’ll master the skills and knowledge to develop your choice of 4 specialist income streams from a selection which includes: fundraising from grant making organisations and bodies; corporate fundraising; high net worth individual fundraising; community and events fundraising; individual donor development and legacies. You’ll also learn how to develop stretching but feasible fundraising strategies, how to improve your understanding of the needs and motivations of today’s funders and how to develop your own unique and enticing fundraising products and services. We’ll go deep into some if these topics and help you gain expert knowledge in marketing to ensure maximum engagement of your audiences, including how to use digital technology and offline media together to create highly effective mass marketing and fundraising campaigns as well as a more satisfying supporter experience. We’ll also help you master those tricky back-office bits such as GDPR and business planning skills and help you understand the potential of digital technology to offer better customer service and lower your costs.

Importantly, you’ll learn from some of the sector’s most experienced and successful fundraisers - tutors with over 25 years of practical experience - expert, hands-on fundraisers who’ve doubled fundraising income, launched major media appeals and raised millions. As tutors who’ve led £ multi-million fundraising and marketing departments, delivered fundraising appeals for a wide range of national, international and regional charities and trained and coached hundreds of fundraisers, we understand your challenges. As such, we help you gain practical, evidence-based and innovative fundraising skills which increase your chance of achieving fundraising success.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
