Description

The Fundraising Management diploma course will analyze the motivation at
work, leadership and performance appraisal. The course will provide more
knowledge on the reasons, methods, and characteristics of an appraisal system that
is legally defensible. The course will also examine how volunteers can be inducted
and trained, key volunteer legislation, reasons for the attrition of volunteers and
strategies to prevent this.

At the end of this diploma course, participants will be awarded with Fundraising
Management Diploma, and will also be able to:
 Conceptualise and plan fundraising project and programs such as major
gifts, planned giving, annual giving, corporate giving and capital campaigns.
 Prepare proposals and administer grants.
 Develop and implement marketing and direct marketing strategies and activities.

 Conduct the research and analysis associated with the management of lists,
promotions, and donors.
 Evaluate the environmental forces that impact non-profit and charitable
organizations.
 Describe the organisation and roles of the various departments found within
fundraising organisations.
 Apply writing skills for fundraising proposals, annual reports, promotion,
marketing, public relations, direct mail and event marketing.
 Manage human resource and volunteer resources including planning,
recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, supervising, evaluating volunteers.
 Manage fundraising projects including the development of implementation
plans, the monitoring, and evaluation of programs and projects.
 Analyze fundraising issues and events, implement a problem-solving process
and present solutions.
 Contact fundraising employers and identify work opportunities in the field.
