Overview
BARBRI Foundations in Law is a 60-hour online-only course designed to help you familiarise yourself with the law in England and Wales.
Description
The Foundations in Law course runs online over 6 weeks, and you will need to dedicate around 10 hours of study per week to complete the course. The syllabus will give you an introduction to three key areas including:
- The legal system of England & Wales;
- Legal research: how to conduct and present it;
- Core legal terms, concepts, and areas of practice.
Foundations in Law is an opportunity to acclimatise yourself to the study of law and also to get you thinking like a lawyer.
For those interested in taking the SQE exams to qualify as a solicitor, the Foundations course can be taken prior to BARBRI's SQE1 Prep course to help students build foundational knowledge ready to tackle the SQE prep courses with greater confidence.
