Our Fire Warden course is suitable for all people. This is something that you need to be aware of to be able to protect yourselves and possibly others.
Throughout this Fire Warden course, you will be introduced to the importance of fire safety at work. You will also gain a greater knowledge of the legislation, policy and procedures around fire safety at work and will know what action to take if a fire was to take place. From our Fire Warden course you will consider how to reduce the risk of a fire and some of the aids that can be used to warn and assist in evacuating those who are vulnerable.
At the end of this course you will feel more confident in how to handle a possible fire in the workplace and the legal requirements for emergency procedures.
In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

Units Covered
- Unit 1 - What is a fire - In the first unit of our Fire Warden course you will be introduced to the importance of fire safety. You will explore how fire safety laws are enforced and will consider some of the powers that inspectors have if duty holders are found to be breaking the law.
- Unit 2 - The basic components of fire - In this unit you will be introduced to the fire triangle and will consider how it can be used in fire prevention. You will explore the stages of fire and how a fire can spread and will also explore the different types of fire extinguishers and their uses.
- Unit 3 - Fire risk assessment - This unit will introduce you to what a fire risk assessment is and it's importance. You will look at who is responsible for a fire risk assessment in a non-domestic premises and will consider what makes a suitable and sufficient risk assessment.
- Unit 4 - Fire safety arrangements - This unit will introduce you to what fire safety arrangements are and the legal requirements. You will also learn about fire safety policy and what this should include. In this unit you will also have looked at the fire safety tests, checks and inspections that a fire warden is likely to be a responsible for and how these can be recorded.
- Unit 5 - Emergency and evacuation procedures - In the final unit of our Fire Warden course you will learn about fire emergency evacuation plans and look at what should be included. You will also take a look at some of the aids that can be used to warn and assist in evacuating those who are vulnerable.
