Overview

Get ready for the EU Pay Transparency Directive, which gives workers new rights to pay information, requires employers to report gender pay gaps, and in a dispute shifts the burden of proof onto the employer.

This practical online course is designed for HR, reward and people teams across the EU. Through an immersive, decision-based scenario spanning 18 months, you will learn to build a pay-reporting method, handle worker representatives and stand behind your pay decisions.

Ideal for EU employers and HR teams looking to prepare for the directive and close unexplained pay gaps.

Description

The EU Pay Transparency Directive introduces new duties to share pay information, report gender pay gaps and justify pay differences, backed by a reversed burden of proof in equal-pay claims. This interactive course provides practical, scenario-based training to help HR and reward teams understand their responsibilities and confidently manage compliance.

Rather than learning through slides alone, you will take part in a realistic scenario where your decisions influence the outcome. Working through 18 months at one employer, from a candidate's pay question to a tribunal, you will build the methodology, produce the report, negotiate with the works council and defend your decisions where the burden of proof is reversed.

During this course, you'll learn how to:

  • Understand the key duties of the EU Pay Transparency Directive
  • Give candidates and workers the pay information they are entitled to
  • Build a method to measure and report gender pay gaps
  • Explain and justify pay differences on objective grounds
  • Work with worker representatives and a works council on pay
  • Prepare to defend pay decisions where the burden of proof is reversed

Course features:

  • Immersive, decision-based learning with multiple possible outcomes
  • Realistic case files, supporting documents and practical activities
  • Voiced narration and realistic case evidence
  • Interactive pay-gap analysis exercises
  • Approximately 2 hours of self-paced online learning
  • Developed by Blend Training and reviewed by qualified EU employment law professionals
