The right move for my career path

The website is very functional on all types of technology. Allowing study on your mobile, tablet or computer. I am looking for a change in career and the course is giving me the knowledge and confidence I need. The course also confirms to me that this is the right move for my career path that I would like to progress further in.

Louis Rees – Swansea

5 Star rating throughout the whole experience.

Amazing! New Skills Academy has helped me shape my life and improve my understanding of my chosen course, so simply and now I am that one step closer to achieving my goal. Such a simple yet professional system and easy to learn from.

Would and will recommend to friends and family. A great way to learn without the price tag of going to University and saves a lot of time. Super easy to set up. 5 Star rating throughout the whole experience.

Going to buy my sister the same course for a birthday gift, which is a great offer that they do.

Chris Pinnock – Grays

This is a nice introduction to the profession of Estate Agency but also negotiation and building networks.

I’m a property investor and I have an interest in property generally. I wanted to do this course to broaden my knowledge of property but also make sure I understand my rights as a buyer of property. This is a nice introduction to the profession of Estate Agency but also negotiation and building networks. It includes material on both residential and commercial property, and also property maintenance. It touches upon the Estate Agents Act 1979 which is very important. My next step will be to review the act. It is a very broad course and is a good place to start.

With experience and training you could take on more responsibility for managing projects, or provide cover for senior management duties.

Other career options include moving into buying and procurement, financial management, business development and operations management.

Career path

With experience and a good sales record, you could be promoted from sales negotiator to senior negotiator and then branch manager. Larger chains of estate agents may offer more opportunities for promotion than smaller companies.

You could also become self-employed as a partner in a firm, or set up your own agency online.

Course rating

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
