This Epilepsy awareness course is aimed at care workers who are involved with clients who suffer from epilepsy. Candidates will gain knowledge on the main effects of epilepsy and the importance of supporting services users to take medication as directed by their doctor.
This course will also explore the different types of seizures and behaviour changes an individual may suffer from as a result of epilepsy.
Learning Outcomes:
This course will cover the following topics; What Epilepsy is and how it is caused, How to recognise at least three types of seizure and how they present, Know how to safely care for someone having a seizure, What documentation is required following a seizure

This course is aimed at care workers who are involved with clients who suffer from epilepsy. Candidates will gain knowledge on the main effects of epilepsy and the importance of supporting services users to take medication as directed by their doctor. This course will also
explore the different types of seizures and behaviour changes an individual may suffer from as a result of epilepsy.
Certificate
On successful completion of this course learners will receive a CPD Certificate of Achievement award from HRUK Group.
This certificate will be produced in PDF format, hard copies of the certificate will be available at an additional fee of £9.99.

This course is delivered online through eLearning. Learners of the course will receive instant access to our interactive student learning portal, which offers 24/7 access to the course.
Course Duration
The online course requires a minimum of 2 hours to complete in full. This is only a guide to the learning hours required and it depends on how quickly an individual can absorb the information. The learning is online so it can be spread out over multiple sessions or done in one session.
Learners will have access to this course for up to 12 months from the date of joining. There is no time limit to complete the course during this period.
The assessment can be re-taken as many times as the learner requires at no extra cost. We must advise that the questions do change each time. This course is designed to teach as well as assess.
