Description
This course focuses on the prevention of environmental problems and their solution using appropriate and sustainable technologies. Students investigate the impacts of human activities on the natural environment with extensive laboratory equipment, geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing software and monitoring technologies at their disposal. Using excellent IT, laboratory and field facilities, the programme couples methodological issues and problem-solving with essential practical work. Students are introduced to the appropriate methods of sampling, analysis and data handling required to monitor processes and minimise their environmental impacts.

Requirements:
Students should have at least a 2.2 Bachelors degree with Honours, in a science or engineering subject. Candidates without these qualifications but with substantial related work experience may be considered for entry by assessing levels of professional experience and skills. If English is not the 1st language, applicants must have at least written and spoken English equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0. Candidates must achieve an IELTS minimum score of 6.0 in the written test as well as in the overall assessment.
