Overview

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is ideal for lower risk businesses, in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981.

Description

By the end of the course you will have learnt:

  • Prioritising injuries and action in an emergency.
  • How to provide immediate medical care in an emergency.
  • How to assess if someone is unconscious, whether or not they are breathing and how and when to put them into the recovery position or start CPR.
  • We will cover common accidents and injuries relevant to your industry and empower you with the skills and confidence to provide an immediate and appropriate first aid response.
  • Baby first aid and Child First Aid can be included if required and we will always tailor the course to the requirements of your work.

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. We can't wait to get you certified.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
