AS Level Chemistry: XCH11
Students completing the AS Level will complete the following modules:
Unit 1: Structure, Bonding and Introduction to Organic Chemistry
Unit 2: Energetics, Group Chemistry, Halogenoalkanes and Alcohols
Unit 3: Practical Skills in Chemistry I
Students completing the Full A Level will complete the above AS modules, and the following:
Unit 4: Rates, Equilibria and Further Organic Chemistry
Unit 5: Transition Metals and Organic Nitrogen Chemistry
Unit 6: Practical Skills in Chemistry II
AS Level Chemistry Exams
There are three exams for the AS Level qualification.
A Level Chemistry Exams
There are six exams for the full A Level qualification.
Who is this course for?
The course encourages creative thinking and problem-solving skills which are transferable to any future career path. International AS and A Level Chemistry is ideal for students who want to study Chemistry or a wide variety of related subjects at university or to follow a career in science.
Requirements
It is recommended that students should be educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent and have a reasonable standard of literacy. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 24 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.

These qualifications enable successful progression to further education courses in chemical sciences.
