The Dog Walking Level 5 Training course is structured into seven advanced lectures, followed by a formal assessment and final examination.

The course begins with an introduction to advanced dog walking practices, focusing on canine behaviour, communication signals, and the importance of physical exercise combined with mental stimulation. Learners gain insight into reading dog body language and managing group dynamics during walks.

Dog health and safety is explored in depth, including monitoring wellbeing during walks, recognising signs of distress or illness, and responding appropriately to emergencies. Basic canine first aid principles are covered within a professional dog walking scope.

Advanced handling techniques are then introduced, including leash management, multi-dog handling strategies, and controlled off-leash walking where legally permitted. Emphasis is placed on risk assessment, recall reliability, and safety protocols.

Business and professional development modules guide learners through setting up and managing a dog walking business, client communication, service standards, and customer care. Legal considerations, insurance requirements, and professional accountability are highlighted.
