You will gain a knowledge which enables you to perform basic health checks of the dogs. You will be looking for fleas, ticks, infections, cuts, grazes and any other minor issues. The course teaches you how to greet and approach a dog and discuss the requirements the owner has.

This online course explains the several techniques that are used on different breeds of dogs and how to perform these techniques to achieve the desired look. You will be studying the use of clippers, scissors and other implements which cut or remove the hair.

The final module of the dog grooming course gives you a detailed explanation on how to start up your business as a dog groomer, the legal requirements that are necessary and information on health and safety issues. You will gain knowledge on how to design a business plan and understand the pros and cons of starting up a business, gain understanding on how to advertise your business and where to work from.
