Learning disability refers to the inability of a person to learn like a normal person. Learning disability can be in the forms of difficulty to read, write, spell, organise or reason. Learning disability is a neurological condition that results from a difference in the way a person’s brain is wired. Learning disability does not imply the lack of intelligence in the person. People with learning disabilities have proven to be brilliant and have excelled greatly in life. Though they might have difficulties in learning, they can go onto learn in ways that well suit them, and thus can be termed as learning difference as well.

Learning disability is a huge concept that includes many types of learning disabilities and disorders such as Dyslexia, non-verbal learning disability, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia. A learning disability is a lifelong issue and cannot be fully cured or permanently gotten rid of. However, with the right support and assistance, people with learning disabilities can sort out a way that well suits them to overcome the issue. Therefore, it is very crucial to identify a learning disability early on in order to provide the support and assistant that can lead to long-term improvements. Parents have to keep an eye out for any symptoms of learning disability in their children in order to treat them accordingly. Access duration

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course. The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.

Method of assessment

In order to complete the Diploma in learning disability awareness – level 3 successfully, all students are required to complete a series of assignments. The completed assignments must be submitted via the online portal. Your instructor will review and evaluate your work and provide your feedback based on how well you have completed your assignments.

Please Note: Additionally, £159 (Inc. VAT) is charged for assessment and certificate and you need to pay that when you are submitting your assessments only (It is not required to pay initially when you are registering). This payment can be paid into 02 installments when you are submitting your assessments.

Certification

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
