Overview

Laboratory is a place that provides controlled conditions to carry our scientific or technological research and experiments. A laboratory usually uses chemicals and equipment that could pose potential injuries and in some cases death, which is why it is important to follow proper safety methods and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. This Diploma in Laboratory Safety – Level 4 has been developed exactly for that purpose and will get you into terms with all the necessary laboratory safety procedures and practices.

This diploma course will teach you the importance of laboratory safety and the various hazards that could occur in a laboratory setting. You will get to learn the standard operating procedures, personal protective equipment, protective clothing applications, working alone policy and injection, followed by professional tips and tricks on how to promote a safe working environment.

This course is a wonderful opportunity for you to understand hazard communication associated with chemical handling, shipping and any other form of exposure. This course also comprises of modules that will help you implement safe work practices for physical and safety hazard, after which the Global Harmonized System, Ghs physical hazards, OSHA report, bridging principles, decontamination and many more will be explored to further solidify your knowledge on laboratory safety practices.
