The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is a 360 Guided Learning Hours / 60 credit qualification. It is equivalent in size and level to an A level and an Access to Higher Education qualification.
Learners who complete this qualification can progress to study a variety of level 4 qualifications, including our ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management for Health and Social Care or to a degree programme at a higher education provider.
Learners must complete 4 mandatory units worth 60 credits to achieve the ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

The Health and Social Care Sector :- 15 Credits
A Person Centred Approach to Health and Social Care :- 15 Credits
Academic and Research Skills for Health and Social Care :- 15 Credits
Communication Skills for Health and Social Care :- 15 Credits
Total : 60 Credits
Who is this course for?
It has been designed for learners who wish to progress to a healthcare degree but may not have the traditional entry qualifications usually required.
- 5 or more GCSEs at grades C and above
- other related level 2 subjects
- other equivalent international qualifications.
Learners must also have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments.
On successful completion of a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care there are a number of progression opportunities.
Learners may progress to:
- A level 4 ATHE qualification such as the ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care
- A degree programme
