Overview

Autism was first identified over seven decades ago, and the condition has since been a learning curve for people. It is a developmental disability that impacts how an individual relates and communicates with others, and what the world feels like to them. The Diploma in Autism Care – Level 3 is designed to give you a sound understanding of the condition of individuals on the autism spectrum.

If you are a caregiver, teacher or work in the health sector, or maybe the educational sector, you will find the Autism Care Diploma will come in useful to raising more awareness of the condition, and helpful in the next step of your career. You will learn how to conduct assessments in children with autism and implement key strategies to support their education.

The course will guide you on the current developments of people with autism, and their families. You will gain an overall understanding of autism, autism in education, learning about challenging behaviour of people with this condition, identifying communication skills and supporting communication, helping individuals with autism build positive relationships and explore the strengths and difficulties of people with autism. The Diploma in Autism Care – Level 3 creates a successful learning experience and equips you with the skills and knowledge of tackling children with autism, and helping them achieve their fullest potential.

The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme. This means that Global Edulink* has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. Access Duration

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course. The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.

Method of Assessment

This online course is assignment-based with learners being assessed upon the submission of a series of assignments. Once you successfully submit the assignments, students will gain a professional qualification. The assignments must be submitted to the instructor through the online learning portal. The assignments will be reviewed and evaluated, with feedback provided to the student on how well they have fared.

Certification

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
