Overview

A debilitating condition that can often be overlooked and massively misunderstood by those who have not experienced it, depression is very real for its sufferers. The Dealing with Depression Diploma Course has been created as a self-help guide that will help you onto the road of recovery or, if you do not have the condition yourself, will aid you in helping those who do, with accurate and up-to-date information, and practical techniques and lifestyle change suggestions that WILL make a difference.

Recent research has shown that some of the most effective treatment comes about by giving the sufferer the tools to overcome the condition themselves and this course will show you how. You will learn of the many options that there are to fight and deal with depression, no matter how intensely we feel it, or how often we have suffered. It will also educate you in the importance of absolute individuality when assessing and deciding on a treatment plan for depression.

We talk of food, lifestyle, stress and life experiences and how they affect the chemistry within us, which automatically changes how we feel. Then we discuss the alignment between holistic health and the most up-to-date medical views on the topic.

To make a change students need to understand the thinking patterns, the brain and how negative thinking patterns can affect the state of mind and well-being of the depression sufferer, and this is what is talked about it Module 4.

The Depression Diploma Course’s fifth module covers the holistic approach to combating depression. This includes how powerful techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, journaling, and exercise, can be when practiced regularly.

Nutrition and lifestyle are often-overlook factor in depression, but these areas have a massive impact on our mental well being. Module 6 informs students of how nutrition can aid or work against us, whilst escapism through alcohol and drugs can embed the condition of depression further into the sufferer.

With various techniques to combat depression already discussed earlier in the course, Module 7 concretizes this information and reinforces it with the most effective practices for long term recovery and resilience.
