The TQUK Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual and prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts.
Throughout the course you will be provided with full tutor support by telephone, email and online chat plus have access to our state of the art learning portal to house your completed work and course materials.
This qualification can meet the needs of trainee teachers, including:
• individuals who are not currently teaching and training but who can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements of the qualification;
• individuals who are currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training) who can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements of the qualification;
• individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a teaching qualification.

Description
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) is a nationally recognised qualification on the national register which can be viewed by searching the OFQUAL website. This award is provided by our awarding organisation Training Qualifications UK (TQUK).
To gain the award you will need to achieve 36 credits from 6 units. 21 credits will be from unit 4 or higher levels. You will be assigned a tutor to help you through this award and will have a direct telephone number, email address and access to online chat.
Throughout the award you will be assessed in a number of ways including; assignments, work product evidence (such as your assessment plans) expert witness testimony and a worksheet. You will be expected to complete a minimum of 3 one hour observations (which are normally completed by your expert witness).
There are six units we ask you to complete in this qualification:
1. Understanding the Roles, Responsibilities and relationships in Education and Training
2. Planning to meet the needs of learners in education and training.
3. Delivering education and training
4. Assessing learners in education and training
5. Using resources for education and training
6. Developing, using and organising resources in a specialist area.
Throughout the award you will also have access to our online portal which will help you to organise your study including the upload of assignments and presentation of your course resources. Throughout the award you will be expected to complete additional research and present this in your work. The awarding organisation expect that total time spent on this qualification should be approximately 360 hours.
Unlike other providers we don't charge for any additional extras such as certification or assessment. We also allow you to resubmit assignments for re-marking without any additional charges where you have not met the required criteria.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for teachers in a range of adult education settings. It is ideally suited to individuals who are currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training) who can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements of the qualification.
Requirements
- You should be at least 19 years of age.
- You should be able to demonstrate at least 30 hours of teaching experience by the end of thew certificate.
- You should have a good level of English, Mathematics and ICT skills.
Career path
This qualification will allow you gain entry onto the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF) and will demonstrate your competence to prospective employers. The Level 5 Education and Training qualification can also help you gain QTLS status.
