What is Apigee?

How it Works

1. API Proxy Creation: You start by defining your APIs in Apigee, configuring how they should behave, what kind of security measures they need, and any necessary transformations for data flowing in and out.

2. Client Interactions: When a client (an application, a website, or another service) makes a request to access your backend services, the request first hits the Apigee proxy.

3. Proxy in Action: The Apigee proxy enforces the rules you've set up.It might check for authentication, ensure the request is within usage limits, transform data formats, and even handle errors or provide caching to speed up responses.

4. Backend Connection: Once the proxy has done its job, it forwards the request to your backend services.

5. Response Handling:The backend's response travels back through the proxy, which can again modify data, add analytics, or perform any other necessary actions before sending it back to the client.
