The BACP conducted a survey to understand additional detail relating to the use of counselling services:

• 28% of the UK population will at some point use counselling services
• 54% of people say that their family member, friend, work college or themselves have consulted a counsellor
• Stress levels across the UK are increasing, with 48% of people feeling more stress than they did five years ago
• Depression and Anxiety are the main causes for the use of counselling services.

• There is no requirement to undertake any work placement to complete this course

Study Time

• Students are provided with 12 months of tutor support, with the option to complete within 3 months.

Entry Requirements

• There are no entry requirements or past qualifications needed to join this course.

Professional Recognition

• Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) and the ACCPH fully accredit the Counselling Level 3 Diploma. TQUK are Ofqual government regulated and award over 200 different qualifications.

Assessment

Students will be required to complete one assessment per unit, which will be marked by their tutor. Unlimited attempts are provided if revisions to work are required at no extra cost.

This course is aimed at an individual who is looking to go into a role in Counselling or someone who is already employed and is looking to reinforce their knowledge.

There are no requirements to join this course, it is open to anyone.

Students will be able to apply for Counselling related roles, upon completion of the course.
