Description

The Close Protection course covers a wide range of skills, through a combination of theory-based classes, practical exercises, and scenarios based on the common duties of a modern-day Close Protection Operative (CPO). There will be an intensive final exercise that combines all the skills and knowledge obtained throughout the course.

The course include:

Level 3 Award in Close Protection Operations

Highfield Level 3 Certificate for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry.

Level 2 Award in Conflict Management

Highfield Level 2 Award in Conflict Management (RQF).

First Aid at Work at no extra cost

It is SIA requirement that candidates must show that they hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate or First Person on the Scene Certificate ideally with 6 months validity. This is included in the course.

Tactical and Evasive Driving (Certified)

At our specialist driving training facilities all our CPO course delegates will learn and practice how to mitigate the risks to safety and security whilst maintaining control of a vehicle, together with the correct steering methods, including:

  • skid pan driving experience
  • evasive actions (including J Turns)
  • Convoy / Escort Driving
  • anti-ambush
  • extraction techniques
  • PIT manouver.

The course contents cover Legislation, Communication and Conflict Management Skills, Risk Assessment Operational Planning and Safe Route Selection, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Incidents and Dilemmas, Unarmed Combat and Anti-Ambush Training.

What does study method mean?
