Description
The Level 7 CIPD Advanced Diploma, set at postgraduate level, is perfect for studying advanced areas of L&D and looking at strategic L&D principles. It takes, on average, 18 to 24 months to complete.
Aligned to the Advanced Level of the CIPD Profession Map, you can be sure that everything you learn will be useful, relevant, and respected at work.
It consists of 4 core units, 3 specialist units (below) and 1 optional unit.
- Work and working lives in a changing business environment
- People management and development strategies for performance
- Personal effectiveness, ethics and business acumen
- Business research in people practice
- Organisational design and development
- Leadership and management development in context
- Designing learning to improve performance
Assessments
You'll complete written assignments for each module and submit them online to be marked by our assessors and moderated by CIPD.

The CIPD Level 7 Diploma is right for you if you’re currently working in, or aiming for, a senior L&D role. That could include positions like:

Requirements
Aside from being aged 21 or over, there aren’t any formal entry requirements for this course. However, the CIPD Level 7 Diploma is a postgraduate-level qualification, so you should be ready to study at this level. (Although you don't need a degree or university experience to enrol!) You should also be able to meet the requirements of the learning outcomes, and have the literacy and numeracy skills needed to complete the course.
Career path
After successfully completing your CIPD Level 7 Diploma, you will be a CIPD Associate Member and will be eligible to apply for prestigious Chartered Membership. Achieving this qualification will help you progress to strategic senior roles.
