Overview

Comprising eight units in total, four of which are core units based on the CIPD Profession Map, a further three to develop specialist HR knowledge and one unit from a range of options, the qualification takes up to two years to complete.

To demonstrate the new knowledge gained during the course, all the units complete with a written assignment which are marked by our assessors. There are no exams for this qualification.

As with all our CIPD programmes, you can start anytime and work at your own pace taking advantage of our fully flexible HR and L&D online training or enjoy face-to-face learning at our renowned facilitated workshops.

Description

This qualification provides a broad range of relevant academic knowledge and practical skills, alongside the opportunity to specialise in your chosen area of expertise. Using critical evaluation, self-reflection and evidence-based problem solving, you will learn how to develop and implement creative and strategic HR solutions that drive organisational performance. You will also be able to develop your understanding of organisations and the external context within which HR operates.

What does study method mean?

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
