This CIPD Level 5 Diploma is the most comprehensive Intermediate L&D course, with seven units enabling you to specialise in the areas of most interest or relevance to you and your L&D practice.
The syllabus consists of five mandatory units:
- Developing professional practice in L&D
- Understanding the context of L&D
- Using information, metrics and developing business cases for L&D
- Evaluating L&D provision
- Designing and developing digital and blended learning solutions
Followed by 2 from your chosen pathway - either Manager or Professional
Manager Pathway units:
- Developing Leadership and Management Skills
- Managing the L&D Business Function
Professional Pathway units:
- Enhancing Participant Engagement in the Learning Process
- Facilitating Collective and Social Learning

Who is this course for?

An existing Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is essential; alternatively, relevant work experience can be considered.
In addition, the following entry requirements apply:
- You must be over the age of 18 or have a third-party payee for any financial agreement
- You must have a solid grasp of the English language (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent if English is not your first language)
The CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in L&D will equip you with latest skills and knowledge you need to effectively manage your L&D function. Upon successful completion of your diploma, you will become an Associate Member of the CIPD. Achieving Associate (Assoc CIPD) status will allow you use the designatory letters Assoc CIPD after your name to showcase your credentials.
