Description

The Level 5 CIPD Associate Diploma is perfect for studying a wider breadth of L&D principles and takes, on average, 9 to 12 months to complete.

You will cover a range of evidence-based L&D principles and practices, including learning design, social learning, facilitation and personalisation. It consists of 3 core units, 3 specialist units (below) plus 1 optional unit.

Assessments
You'll complete written assignments for each module and submit them online to be marked by our assessors and moderated by CIPD.

The CIPD Level 5 Diploma is right for you if you’re currently working in, or aiming for, a mid-level L&D role. That could include positions like:

Requirements

Aside from being aged 21 or over, there aren’t any formal entry requirements for the CIPD level 5 Diploma. However, you should be able to meet the requirements of the learning outcomes, and have the literacy and numeracy skills needed to complete the course.

Career path

After completing the CIPD Level 5 Diploma, you may progress to a managerial role or you may wish to continue studying with the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma programme, designed to help you move into senior L&D roles. Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
