3CO01 Business, Culture, and Change in Context - 5 Credits
This unit explores how and why organisations set goals, the key external factors that influence businesses, and the environment in which they operate. It also considers workplace culture and requires you to examine how individual behavior shapes it. Additionally, you will learn about organisations as interconnected systems and how your actions as an HR professional can have an impact across the organisation. A major focus of this unit is the concept of change, where you will explore the role of the HR professional in managing change and how effective project planning can guide change in a controlled and manageable manner.
Upon completion of this unit, you will understand:
- The business environment in which the HR profession operates, including the key issues that affect it
- How people’s behaviour in the workplace affects and shapes culture

3CO02 Principles of Analytics - 4 Credits
This unit requires you to examine how evidence-based practice informs key measures and outcomes and how it is applied within your organisation. You will learn about the importance of using data, the various types of data measurement, and how these are utilised to guide decision-making. This includes performing common calculations, interpreting organisational data, and presenting your findings. You will also explore how HR professionals add value to organisations for both customers and stakeholders. Lastly, you will focus on the importance of maintaining a customer-centric approach and adhering to high standards in your work.

3CO03 Core Behaviours for People Professionals - 4 Credits

3CO04 Essentials of People Practice - 11 Credits
This unit will support you with developing key HR skills in the effective recruitment, selection, and appointment of individuals by evaluating the employee lifecycle, including the role of the HR professional throughout. You will learn how to prepare job role materials to attract suitable candidates and explore various recruitment and selection methods to enhance your ability to contribute to successful recruitment. Additionally, you will gain experience in shortlisting candidates, conducting selection interviews, and handling the necessary follow-up actions. A key focus of the unit is understanding relevant legislation and organisational practices, along with the importance of diversity and inclusion in recruitment and employee relations. Finally, you will explore performance management, the role of appraisals, and how learning and development contribute to the growth of both individuals and organisations.
