Our CIPD level 3 Foundation Diploma in HR Practice blends digital delivery (approximately 90% online learning) through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), with our renowned support from a fully qualified dedicated personal adviser. All our advisers hold a CIPD Chartered Membership or above and have a wealth of practical HR experience. We also make use of other resources and teaching materials to suit the style of the individual learner and dedicated one to one support is provided to guide the learner through the online materials and help them develop the study skills necessary to complete the course successfully. Upon successful completion of the programme you will gain CIPD Associate Membership.

This qualification is aimed at anyone contemplating or just starting a career in HR. This highly practical course will equip individuals with the necessary basic skills to become an effective HR administrator or assistant. You will develop the practical skills of interviewing, dealing with sensitive situations, giving feedback and employment advice. Learners are encouraged to involve themselves in practical situations where they can and to keep a CPD log to reflect on their learning and how they can embed this into practice and identify opportunities to practice their skills in the workplace.

You may study specialised areas of HR which include Employment Law, Resourcing Talent and Performance Management, or select optional units of your choice which are more relevant to your personal interest and/or suit your organisation’s needs.

Our approach and resources enable you to become a self-directed learner through the use of bespoke learning materials designed specifically for the Foundation level programme by our specialist team. The dedicated support and guidance from your personal adviser is available through the course of study to guide you through the materials and support you to get the most out of the course. Through our VLE you will have the opportunity for online discussion with colleagues also studying for this qualification to share information and get an appreciation of their different perspectives and challenges.

We have achieved outstanding success in our student completion rates and the feedback received from both students and CIPD quality assurance. We provide the widest choice of optional units of any CIPD centre and will offer one-to-one advice to help you make the right choice of units which play to your strengths and identify your key development areas.

We have the strongest track record in using competency based assessment where you can maximise your work experience to further promote your learning and development.

How is This Course Delivered?

We specialise in flexible learning solutions that are tailored to your needs. You can begin the programme at any time and complete it in a timescale which meets your career aspirations and work-life balance needs - anything from 8 to 12 months. You can study this programme anywhere in the world and you can pace your learning according to your own needs rather than those of a large group of learners or pre-set timetable.

Learning methods include workbooks with reflective activities to help embed your learning, supplementary learning materials and assignments. You will also have regular contact with your personal adviser, who is allocated to you at the start of your programme, through telephone conversations, e-mail exchanges and/or Skype meetings.

How will it be assessed?

Your personal adviser will provide you with developmental feedback for each unit assessment. This feedback will guide you in terms of your progress with the unit content and advise you on your achievements and what, if any, areas could benefit from further development.

There are no exams for this qualification - each unit is assessed by the completion of a written assessment usually 1,000 - 2,000 words in length. These assessments are delivered via our templates all of which have been approved by the CIPD and are based around the learning outcomes for each module. Some of the units also require assessment of your practical skills such as interviewing and this can be done using a real life work situation to demonstrate your skills or facilitated through Skype.

How we differ from other centres

Our success rate and quality standards are second to none. We consistently outperform the national average exam pass rates (for Advanced qualifications) and achieve outstanding quality assurance ratings from the CIPD. This is because we have developed a unique and rigorous process which begins with a diagnostic consultation as the starting point to any learning engagement. We strive to ensure students are mapped to the correct qualification and then work with them every step of the way to help them achieve success. We are the only CIPD Centre to offer all of the optional units, providing maximum flexibility and choice. You will be supported throughout the programme by a dedicated personal adviser, regardless of which study option you choose.
