Learners develop safeguarding awareness, including recognising signs of abuse or neglect, reporting procedures, and legal responsibilities. Creating a safe, secure, and supportive childcare environment is a central focus.
Lecture 5: Building Positive Relationships
This lecture focuses on communication with children and parents, conflict resolution, and promoting diversity and inclusion. Learners explore respectful partnerships with families and inclusive childcare practices.
Lecture 6: Curriculum and Play-Based Learning
Learners explore activity planning, creative play, and child-led learning. The lecture introduces implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring learning through play supports developmental outcomes.
Lecture 7: Business Management for Childminders
This section provides awareness of setting up a childminding business, including financial planning, record-keeping, and marketing services to families while maintaining professional standards.
Lecture 8: Practical Experience and Observation
Learners are introduced to supervised practice awareness, observational assessment of children’s development, and reflective practice for continuous improvement.
Lecture 9: Assessment and Evaluation
This lecture explores methods of assessing children’s progress, self-evaluation of childcare practice, and the importance of continuous professional development (CPD).
Lecture 10: Final Project and Certification
Learners complete a childminding business plan and final assessment. This lecture reinforces professional readiness, ethical responsibility, and regulatory awareness.
The course concludes with a structured assessment measuring understanding of child development, safeguarding, EYFS alignment, and professional practice awareness.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the Childminding Fundamentals Level 3 course, learners receive a free digital course completion certificate confirming knowledge acquisition and participation.
