The course consists of three insightful modules, which gradually introduce the world of contemporary business management and a variety of core topics. Important subjects discussed and explored at length include the different types of business management.

Learners choose two out of three units totaling 30 credits to achieve the ATHE Level 5 Certificate in Management.

Assessment and verification

All units within this qualification are internally assessed and externally verified by the awarding body. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.

Learners who complete this qualification can build credits towards the ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management which provides entry to the third year of a variety of Bachelor’s Degree Top-Up Programmes at a higher education institution.

The Learners must possess:

• Level 4 Award/Diploma or equivalent qualification

or

• Mature learners (over 21) with over 3-4 years of work experience

and

• Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
