Overview

Fast-track your way to becoming a Professional Mortgage and Equity Release Advisor by taking the e-Careers Professional Mortgage Advisor package. Attend our 11-day Virtual Classroom, where you will learn everything you need to know to be able to pass your exams and start your mortgage career!

The mortgage industry is currently one of the few high-growth employment sectors, with many companies seeking Mortgage Advisors who have the ability to advise clients on equity release. Whilst the skills gap continues to widen, this is a great opportunity for you to upskill and enjoy a successful career in the mortgage industry.

CeMAP is the most recognised mortgage qualification in the UK, making it the best choice, whether you are looking for a Mortgage Advisor role in a bank, building society, estate agency or if you plan to branch out as an Independent Advisor.

Once you have passed your CeMAP accreditation, the CeRER Level 3 certificate is your next stop, and on successful completion, it will give you the "right to practice" and allow you to advise your clients on suitable equity release products and services.

As a qualified CeMAP Mortgage Advisor, gaining an accreditation to advise on equity release will add to your skillset and increase your salary potential. The popularity of equity release products is increasing, £1.06bn of property wealth was accessed via equity release products in Q1 2020, up by 14% from the previous year (source: Equity Release Council). As a result, the need for qualified professionals has significantly increased and advisors are looking to upskill to guide their clients through the process.

CeMAP and CeRER professional qualifications are approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), accredited by Ofqual and awarded by the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Our Virtual Classroom training has provided high pass rates, which has made us confident to offer an Exam Pass Guarantee*, so you know we’ll support you until you are certified. The e-Careers virtual class is an interactive experience, giving you the opportunity to learn from some of the leading CeMAP and CeRER trainers, as well as network with fellow students, in the safety and comfort of your own home.

Once fully qualified you will have the potential to earn over £70,000 with experience.

FAQs

What does study method mean?

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At reed.co.uk courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

What are CPD hours/points?

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on reed.co.uk, many of which can be completed online.

What is a ‘regulated qualification’?

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
