Hi Sheena. Training to become an art therapist can take upwards of seven years and will vary considerably depending on where you are in the world. There really is no set route as there are so many different factors to take into consideration, such as existing qualifications, experience etc. What I advise students to do, is to have a look online at universities that might be offering courses of this nature and speak to them directly. The courses are short online programmes and would not qualify you as a licensed CBT Counsellor. This takes many years of training and isn't something you can embark on via an online course.
