Students completing the AS Level will complete the following modules:
Biological Approach
- Dement and Kleitman (sleep and dreams)
- Hassett et al. (monkey toy preferences)
- Hölzel et al. (mindfulness and brain scans)
Cognitive Approach
- Andrade (doodling)
- Baron-Cohen et al. (eyes test)
- Pozzulo et al. (line-ups)
Learning Approach
- Bandura et al. (aggression)
- Fagen et al. (elephant learning)
- Saavedra and Silverman (button phobia)
Social Approach
- Milgram (obedience)
- Perry et al. (personal space)
- Piliavin et al. (subway Samaritans)
Issues and debates
- the application of psychology to everyday life
- individual and situational explanations
- nature versus nurture
- the use of children in psychological research
- the use of animals in psychological research.
Students completing the Full A Level will complete the above AS modules, and the following:
- Specialist Option 1: Clinical Psychology
Specialist Option 2: Consumer Psychology
Specialist Option 3: Health Psychology
Specialist Option 4: Organisational Psycholog
AS Level Exams
There are two exams for the AS Level qualification. The length of each exam is as follows:
Paper 1 – 1 hour 30 min
Paper 2 – 1 hour 30 min
A Level Exams
There are four exams for the full A Level qualification. The length of each exam is as follows:
Paper 1 – 1 hour 30 min
Paper 2 – 1 hour 30 min
Paper 3 – 1 hour 30 min
Paper 4 – 1 hour 30 min

This Cambridge International A Level Psychology Course is ideal for anyone wishing to gain knowledge and understanding of this subject or for anyone who wishes to study at a higher level at University and gain UCAS points.
Requirements
The entry requirements are reading and writing skills and maths to at least GCSE grade C or equivalent. You will need to have general skills and knowledge base associated with a GCSE course or equivalent standard. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 24 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
