Overview
Business An Introduction to Ergonomics
Ergonomics deals with how to maintain the workplace conditions and gives the guiding rules and principles which assist in designing the tools, machinery, working procedures and workplaces accordingly for the safe use.
The production of the machinery and working capabilities of workers both have significant role in creating a stress free environment as operating a well designed machine efficiently is depends on the ability of a worker but on the other hand if the machinery is poorly designed then workers cannot be able to perform effectively which causes the stressful and hectic environment.
In the workplace ergonomic deficiency may not give immediate result of body pain but it can cause musculoskeletal disorders over the time.
The unit provides a broad overview of ergonomics and defines it thoroughly by explaining the role of ergonomics in workplace. The content covers the various topics named as legislation and regulatory bodies along with the ergonomic assessment cycle in depth.
