Description

The programme includes many thought-provoking topics including forensic and investigative psychology, education psychology, the psychology of sport and exercise, and critical social psychology. Students also get to develop their own knowledge within a particular psychology topic of interest by writing a 30-credit final project.

Graduates from this BSc (Hons) Psychology course will have an understanding of the scientific and theoretical underpinnings of the discipline. They will also develop detailed knowledge of several specialised areas/or applications of psychology, including the ability to recognise the variability and diversity of psychological functioning (and its significance).

Students who want to develop their career will also develop a number of transferable skills including critical-thinking, communication, evidence-based reasoning, investigative abilities, data analysis and lots more.

What does study method mean?

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
