Physiology and homeostasis introduce human anatomy and physiology, major organ systems, homeostatic regulation, immune function, disease processes, and reproductive biology.
Ecology and environmental biology examine ecological principles, population and community ecology, environmental challenges, conservation strategies, and field study concepts, highlighting Biology’s role in understanding and protecting natural systems.
Practical laboratory skills focus on laboratory safety awareness, experimental design, data analysis, conducting biological investigations conceptually, recording results, presenting scientific data, and developing report-writing and communication skills.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the Biology Fundamentals Level 3 course, learners receive a free digital certificate from Reed confirming course completion. A provider-issued certificate is also available following verification, with optional premium certificates and academic transcripts available separately.
