The Barista Coffee Course will provide you with the necessary skills to carry out your work as a barista, or any other profession in the hospitality industry where your role involves making and serving coffee to customers. Through studying this course, you will learn about the diverse types of coffee, how it is produced and packaged and the different techniques used to produce a variety of coffees.

Our coffee course is broken into 4 easy to follow modules:-
Introduction to Coffee - In this introductory module, you will learn about the history and origins of coffee. You will be introduced to how coffee is cultivated, harvested and processed prior to arriving at your place of work. You will be able to identify the different types of coffee and explore how it is roasted, ground and brewed to make the perfect cup of coffee.
Selecting the right Equipment - In order to prepare great tasting coffee, you need to use the right equipment. As an employee you need to understand the different types of coffee making machines and how they function. the function of different coffee machines and how they operate. In this module, we will introduce you to the various pieces of equipment typically found in a coffee shop or café. In addition, you will be able to identify the accompaniments frequently served with coffee.
Coffee Creations - In this module, you are going to learn how to store coffee in an effective way. You will then be introduced to the different types of cream and milk used and the importance of using the right consistency to make the perfect cup of coffee. You will then be shown the different types of coffee currently served in coffee shops today, which include; Latte, Flat White, Macchiato, Americano and the Cappuccino. In addition, you will be able to identify various flavoured liqueur coffees you may be asked to create.
Equipment Care - In this final module, you will learn that making a good cup of coffee is not only down to the way it is made, it is highly influenced by the cleanliness and the overall maintenance of your coffee equipment.
Format
The Introduction to Coffee course is available in easy to follow interactive slides allowing you to study online at your own pace. Test your knowledge after each unit and then take a final assessment to see how much you have learned. You will be required to answer 21 of the 30 questions correctly to pass the course and receive your PDF certificate of completion.
Duration
The course can be completed in approximately 1 – 2 hours and is self-paced so you can study for as long or as little as you wish.

After successful completion of the course you can download your Institute of Hospitality and CPD certificate.

Answer:Hi Angel Thank you for your question. If you really want to get hands-on with making the coffee, yes, the best is to have a machine. However, you can complete the course without having a coffee making machine. The course is online. You can have a notebook to take notes if needed. KInd regards Renaldas
