What we're all about
Pearson Publishing has published almost 1000 educational titles in print and digital formats. We have run staff training and development programmes for over 250,000 people and worked with the United Nations, the European Union, Microsoft and the University of Cambridge.
Training and development
Our extensive experience in training and development includes creating accredited courses and carrying out face-to-face and online course delivery, with an emphasis on online self-evaluation, learner management and reporting systems. Our training achievementsCreation and running of courses accredited by:
- Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)
- Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (CACHE)
- National Open College Network (NOCN)
Creation of professional development courses included on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
Creation and certification of courses in IT skills used in the UK, India, South Africa and Albania.
Course development and support for four consortia approved by the Teacher Training Agency within the New Opportunities Fund Teacher Training in ICT Programme, plus train-the-trainer programme for one of the consortia within the programme.
Self-evaluation and in-school/college training system for support staff.
Leadership and management programmes run under government schemes with both public and private sector providers.
Change management programme around the use of ICT.
Development and management of a national professional development programme run through 50 special schools.
