The ATHE level 6 qualifications in Healthcare management include one 120 credit Diploma and two Certificates, however, ATHE also provides Awards in subjects such as Finance in the Public Sector, along with others which are listed amongst the management qualifications and are also relevant to working in the healthcare industry. Whilst the core skills and concepts of management are still very much applicable to a manager in the healthcare industry, there are also some specific areas where managers transferring from other industries may struggle. This qualification considers and addresses these areas, strengthening the learners’ skill set for a manager position.

Entry Requirements
Candidates must hold/meet one or more of the criteria on the list below:
• A certificate/ diploma in management studies or business management
• An equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution.
• Mature students with a minimum of two years relevant work experience may be considered.
• This course is designed for learners aged 19 and above.
• The provider will determine English Language ability if English is not your native language.
• IELTS 4.5 or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.

Successful completion of Level 6 Diploma in Healthcare Management qualification provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions including progression to relevant ATHE Level 7 Diplomas. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual, learners are eligible to gain direct entry into relevant Master’s degree programmes.

Can I register as a CQC manager with this
Answer:Hi, the requirement for compliance manager or somebody who is going to work as a registered manager in a care home, agency or NHS, needs to have level five diploma in leadership in health social care management. The Level 7 diploma is also acceptable as it is higher than Level 5 and exceed the minimum guidelines set by CQC. You could also look at the ATHE Level 5 extended diploma and health and social care( leadership) pathway, which will meet the guidelines.

Answer:Hi This is a comprehensive qualification with 10 units and has a good combination of healthcare and management units. Suitable for people in management or registered manager. There is no observations or witness testimony in the course. All the assessments are done via assignments—one assignment per unit. Units like Finance in Public Sector, International Healthcare Policy, Managing continuous change and Developing Organisation Vision will require theory & application of theory with examples.
