This qualification is ideal for aspiring teachers, trainers, tutors, assessors, workplace instructors, and professionals who deliver training. It is suitable for anyone looking to gain a recognised teaching qualification and develop their teaching and training skills.

After successful completion, learners may progress to:

• ATHE Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

• Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

• Other education and training qualifications

• Be 19 years of age or older.
• Ideally hold 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, or an equivalent international qualification.
• Have a good standard of English to understand learning materials and complete assignments.
• Possess basic Maths and IT skills to access online learning resources and submit coursework.
• Ideally have relevant work or voluntary experience in education, training, or a related sector.
• Successfully complete an initial assessment to confirm suitability for Level 3 study.
• Non-native English speakers should ideally demonstrate English language proficiency, such as IELTS 5.5 or an equivalent qualification (e.g. CEFR B2).
