Description
The APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (IPMA Level D, SCQF Level 7) is a knowledge-based qualification that allows candidates to demonstrate understanding of all elements of project management. Candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how these elements interact and how their project fits into their strategic and commercial environment.
The accredited APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) e-learning course fully prepares you for the examination. It is broken into bite-size sessions, combining leading-edge multimedia and interactive exercises for optimum enjoyment and knowledge retention. The APM e-learning courses and exams are aligned to the APM Body of Knowledge, current 6th version. It encompasses all areas of project management including budgeting and cost management, earned value management, leadership, negotiation, procurement, sponsorship and people management skills required to participate effectively in project management.

All elements of the learning will be supported with exam-style questions and sample answers, and exercises that bring out key learning points and reinforce the learning of the core material
Duration
Course access duration is 12 months.
Approximate time required to complete modules – 27-30 hours. Once completed you can attempt the sample examination questions and undertake private study with the APM Body of Knowledge. We recommend that you set some time aside over a period of four to six weeks to complete the work. Please be advised the APM recommends between 70-80 hours preparation for the PMQ examination.

The Accreditation body is the Association for Project Management (APM).
Exam information:
• paper-based exam format, available at various locations across the UK,
• consisting of 16 questions. Candidates must select and answer 10 from a total of 16 questions. Pass mark is 55% (based on answered 10 questions),
• examination duration – three hours,
• closed book examination.
Complimentary prior learning is recognised for registered PRINCE2® Practitioners through a different exam approach.
Exam information for registered PRINCE2® Practitioners is as follows:
• paper-based exam format, available at various locations across the UK,
• consisting of 10 questions. Candidates must select and answer 6 from a total of 10 questions. Pass mark is 55% (based on answered 6 questions),
• examination duration – two hours,
• closed book examination.
There is no re-certification requirement; the APM PMQ is a lifetime certification.
Who is this course for?
The APM PMQ is aimed at current professionals from both the public and private sector involved in management of projects, wishing to achieve a broad level of project management knowledge in order to participate effectively in projects, ranging from individual assignments through to those working on large capital or change projects. If you are working in project management, the APM PMQ is a great benchmark on which to build your portfolio of skills.
Registered PRINCE2® Practitioners would benefit from this course as well – APM PMQ will develop your knowledge and understanding beyond your learning from PRINCE2®, to help you grow into a committed and capable project professional. It prepares you to deliver project success in critical areas such as budgeting and cost management, conflict management, teamwork, earned value management, procurement and negotiation. Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to start the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) course, however, you should have some knowledge of project management discipline as the course is aimed at those who have at least two years’ project management experience. Also it is the ideal progression for anyone holding the APM Project Fundamentals (PFQ) qualification.
