Description

Anger is a tricky emotion. We all experience anger because it’s normal; however, anger can sometimes become out of control. The issue is, it’s difficult to recognise when that is and how angry we should allow ourselves to become.

You will start the course by exploring what anger is, who can have anger issues and what they can feel like.

You will also review the different causes of anger, such as stress, mental health conditions, trauma and substance abuse and this will help you better understand why a person gets angry in the first place. You will also explore how anger can be managed.

You will look at the treatment and support available to help those struggling with anger issues.

By the end, you’ll have a clearer awareness of anger, its impact, and how to get back in control.

In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

  • Unit 1 – Introduction to Anger – In the first unit of our anger management awareness course, you will be introduced to exactly what anger is, including the cycle of anger and the different types of anger issues.
  • Unit 2 – The Causes, Signs and Symptoms of Anger – In this unit you will consider why people experience anger issues and also examples. You will also look at the signs and symptoms of anger, so you can help and support yourself or others if you find anger is spiralling.
  • Unit 3 – Managing Anger – This unit will cover how anger can be managed, including the helpful/unhelpful things to say when a person is angry. You will then explore anger management toolkits and how these can be beneficial.
  • Unit 4 – Treatment and Support – In the final unit of our anger management awareness course, you will explore the treatment and support available for those with anger issues. You will also explore anger management programmes.
