Description
The course will cover personalized learning and adaptive technologies, AI-powered assessment and feedback as well as virtual teachers and tutoring systems. You will also cover AI for administrative and resource management.
You will explore data privacy and security in AI-driven education and learn about the training and supporting of educators in AI adoption as well as look at case studies that demonstrate the successful implementation of AI.
Students will go on to learn more about bias and fairness in AI algorithms and student AI misuse. You will cover addressing inclusivity and accessibility and well as legislation and regulation and the values of AI ethics.
In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.
You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.
Units covered
- Unit 1 – Introduction to AI in Education - In the first unit students will learn about what Artificial Intelligence is and its role in Modern Education. You will cover the benefits and challenges of AI in Education and learn about ethical considerations in AI-enhanced learning
- Unit 2 – AI Applications in Educational Settings - In the second unit you will cover personalised learning and adaptive technologies, AI-Powered Assessment and Feedback. You will also cover virtual teachers and tutoring systems as well as AI for administrative and resource Management.
- Unit 3 – Implementing AI in Education Introduction - In the third unit you will cover integrating AI into the curriculum and consider how AI aligns with the existing curriculum. Students will learn about Data privacy and security as well as training and supporting educators in AI adoption.
- Unit 4 – Ethical and Societal Implications of AI in Education Introduction - In the final unit students will learn about bias and fairness in AI Algorithms. you will cover student AI misuse and learn about addressing inclusivity and accessibility, legislation and regulation and as well preparing for the future of AI in education.

Requirements
You are required to complete a 30 question multiple choice quiz at the end of the course. Where you need to achieve at least 80% or above to pass. You can complete the quiz as many times as you need to pass.
