This Aesthetics course consists of thirteen structured lectures, followed by an assessment and final exam. Each lecture builds progressively to support a clear and balanced understanding of skincare fundamentals and client care awareness.
The course begins with skin anatomy, examining the structure and function of the skin and its role in protection, regulation, and appearance. Skin nutrients explore vitamins, minerals, and hydration principles that support skin health.
Skin care for different skin types examines variations such as dry, oily, sensitive, and combination skin, highlighting appropriate care considerations. Skin care for different ethnicities explores pigmentation differences, sensitivity considerations, and inclusive skincare awareness.
Reducing ageing effects introduces non-clinical awareness of factors influencing skin ageing, including lifestyle, environment, and routine care principles. Hair removal examined explores common hair removal approaches from an awareness perspective without procedural instruction.
Diagnosis of skin disease introduces general awareness of why professional diagnosis is important and encourages appropriate referral rather than self-diagnosis. Eczema and skin infections provide awareness of common skin conditions, focusing on recognition and responsible response rather than treatment.
Remedies for acne-prone skin examine general skincare principles, hygiene awareness, and lifestyle considerations commonly discussed in non-clinical contexts. Seasonal skincare explores how environmental changes affect skin throughout the year.
Effect of the sun and its remedies examine sun exposure awareness, skin protection principles, and responsible skincare responses to environmental stress.
