Description
The course includes voice, movement and singing, and approaches to rehearsal and public performances; it draws on existing practice but supplements this work with specific teaching and learning processes especially suitable for overseas students; the programme focuses on advanced practical acting skills and also takes in the study of texts such as Shakespeare and other classical traditions; there are separate classes at various points during the year for English 1st-language and English 2nd-language students; the English 1st-language students concentrate on accent or dialect and role play, while the 2nd-language students focus more on accent, rhythm, stress and diction.

Requirements:
Successful live audition or digital audition (via Skype, YouTube or DVD), plus a 1st degree or equivalent, or suitable previous experience.
Assessment Methods:
All students participate in public performances during their study and by the end of the scheme, graduates are able to work in accurate English dialect and perform sophisticated texts with confidence.

Music and singing; advanced acting, methodology and textual studies and acting for media; advanced research and development project; contextual studies; movement; theatre production (full production values); voice; performance project; written dissertation.
