• Recognising the importance of managing health and safety in a workplace environment
• Understanding the legalities of implementing a health and safety management strategy in a workplace setting
• Understanding the individual responsibilities of managers and supervisors
• Recognising health and safety risks that may present themselves in a workplace environment
• Know the difference between ‘active’ and ‘reactive’ monitoring, and recognise when and how to use these different monitoring approaches correctly and to optimum effect

IOSH Managing Safely Exam Details

As part of the IOSH Managing Safely course, you'll be required to complete an exam and a practical assessment.

• Exam Format: Multiple-choice & practical risk assessment
• Number of questions: 30, which will need to be completed to access the project paper for the practical risk assessment, which will be carried out at your workplace. You must complete both exams within 2 weeks of course completion
• Duration: 45 minutes
• Pass Mark: 36/60 (60%)

*How does the Exam Pass Guarantee work?

With our Exam Pass Guarantee, if you do not pass the exam after attending this training course with us, you will be eligible to attend the next class for free.

All we ask is that you:

• Attend all class days and complete all assignments
• Take the exam within 30 days of completing your Virtual Classroom training
• Request your course re-enrolment within 30 days of the failed exam attempt

Please note: Students retaking the course are required to use any materials or books distributed to them in their original course session. Failure to provide these materials will result in the student being charged for replacement materials. Exam Pass Guarantee does not include the resit exam.
