Our aim is to offer people who are very new to accounting the opportunity to progress through the early stages of the ACCA qualification framework using the Foundations in Accountancy Program. The option will be made available to complete all three levels within one calendar year. On our part we will offer you excellent support throughout your studies from our dedicated team of tutors. Our aim is to watch you progress, and grow in confidence to succeed at all levels.

This course offers a fully accredited qualification in its own right, recognized by ACCA, and very importantly; employers. It is also the first stage of the Foundations in Accountancy Program which will lead you onto the ACCA Applied Skills and Strategic Professional Levels.

Level 2 Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (QCF)


ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 2)

This forms the first level of qualification within the Foundation program. To attain the full Level 2 Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting you will be required to complete the Recording Financial Transactions unit (FA1) and the Management Information unit (MA1). The level 2 qualification will be equivalent to GCSE standard.

Unit: Recording Financial Transactions (FA1)

The aim of this unit is to develop a knowledge and understanding of the main types of business transactions and documentation, and how these are recorded in an accounting system up to the trial balance stage.

Syllabus Content: On successful completion of this unit, candidates should be able to explain and understand the following:

  • Types of business transactions and documentation
  • Duality of transactions and the double entry system
  • Banking system and transactions
  • Posting of payroll into the accounts
  • Ledger accounts
  • Cash and bank
  • Sales and credit transactions
  • Purchases and credit transactions
  • Reconciliation and preparing the trial balance

Unit: Management Information (MA1)

The aim of this unit is to develop a knowledge and understanding of providing basic management information in an organisation to support management in planning and decision-making.

Syllabus Content: On successful completion of this unit, candidates should be able to:

  • Explain the nature and purpose of cost and management accounting
  • Identify source documents in a costing system and correctly code data
  • Classify costs by nature, behaviour and purpose
  • Record costs for material, labour and expenses
  • Use spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for those individuals who do not hold any accounting qualification, and are aiming to start on the first rung of the ladder into an accounting career with ACCA qualifications. As it is blended learning based it offers structured learning with one to one support, something that distance learners find difficult to obtain.


There are no formal entry requirements; however, it is important that you have good basic skills in numeracy and literacy which will be assessed during the enrolment process. It would be to the individual’s advantage to have some work experience in an office environment, although this is not mandatory.

Career path

Should you be working in an accounting environment you will find that this qualification gives you a very good basic knowledge of the theory of accounting and double entry. If you are keen to move into accountancy this qualification will provide you with excellent employment prospects. Salaries from £15,000 to £20,000 based upon experience and qualifications.

This course is for the people who are working in the accounting or want to start working in the accounting and wants to progress their career as an accountant. This will also develop your basic knowledge which will help you to progress through the ACCA as this course is the part of ACCA exams only but at basic level.

The course is blended learning means the course material is provided through our online platform and the tutor support will be available to the students. The course also have Mock test included in it. This is not a classroom based course. We do have classroom base course but that is for a high price and is conducted in Hounslow, London.

Hi, what is the different between this course and an AAT foundation course please?


AAT is related to book keeping and while ACCA is more related to accounting. if you will complete all the three levels of AAT which will be 16 papers where as after completing ACCA levle 2, 3 & 4 comprises of 8 papers.

Normal Fees is £1,000 but on reed its for £120 but fees may change on reed soon. Normally people take 3-6 months to complete it but in some cases people have completed in 1 month also.

If you have passed AAT Level 4, you will get exemptions from the three papers under Applied Knowledge and start at Applied Learning and will pay no exemption fees. You may start by following either the traditional or apprenticeship routes. Exams are divided into two levels: Applied Skills and Strategic Professional.

Our course fees includes the fees for material, mock test and tutor support. The fees for the exam and ACCA Registration is not included in the course. The Fees for registration with ACCA is £79 and Annual subscription 2019 is £105 and the fees for exams is £73 per paper.

Hi, If you are living in Ireland than the course will be through distance/online learning online. You can sit for the ACCA exam at any of the examination centres near you.

You can sit for the exam at our centre in Hounslow near Heathrow or you can take the exam at any of the CBE approved centres of ACCA. Once you are our registered students our admin department can support you in finding the nearest centre to your place.

What does study method mean?

What are CPD hours/points?

What is a ‘regulated qualification’?
