Description
The Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting is broken down into 10 modules (don’t worry, you don’t need to do all 10). The mandatory modules are as follows:
- Management Accounting: Budgeting
- Management Accounting: Decision and Control
- Financial Statements of Limited Companies
- Accounting Systems and Controls
- Professional Diploma Synoptic Assessment
Once you have completed the 5 mandatory modules above, you then choose 2 of the following 5 optional modules:
- Business tax
- Personal tax
- External auditing
- Cash and Treasury Management
- Credit Management

The Professional Diploma in Accounting is for anyone who is serious about becoming a full AAT Accountant (MAAT), along with gaining the designatory letters that come with membership.
Requirements
You should already hold the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting (or be close to completion) prior to enrolling on The Professional Diploma in Accounting. There are exceptions that can be made, especially if you have recently completed a British or Irish degree in the Accounting or Finance fields.
