This course will give you a strong foundation of basic accounting skills before building on it with more advanced and specialist areas.

Who is this course for?

This course is perfect for individuals who are looking for an accredited route into accountancy if you have little or no experience. If you are a beginner who is looking to quickly advanced your accounting career, then the AAT Level 2 and Level 3 will give you and advanced understanding of accounting you need to excel in your career.

Also, this qualification will also make you eligible for AAT Bookkeeper (AATQB) status, which will allow you to pursue a career as a freelance bookkeeper.

Requirements

To enrol on this course, we recommend that:

  • You must be over the age of 18 or have a third-party payee for any financial agreement
  • You must have a solid grasp of the English language (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent if English is not your first language)
  • You must be able to attend all exams at an AAT Approved centre. Students outside the UK will incur an additional cost for international postage of textbooks

Career path

Your career opportunities don’t need to end here – upon completion you'll be able to progress on to the AAT Advanced and Professional Certificates in Accounting allowing you become an AAT Full Member (MAAT).

Upon completion of the course you will have accumulated the knowledge and skills to become a fully–qualified Bookkeeper, Senior Ledger Clerk, or Accounts Manager.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
