Description

The mind is an amazing thing. Is there really anything more fascinating than yourself and others? The brain is the organ that governs your every perception and sensation. Psychology focuses on the science of the mind and that science is ever-changing through constant advances. This A-Level Psychology Course aims to develop your understanding of how science contributes to the success of society. You will learn about different areas of psychology and how they relate to each other.

Study Hours

You should allow for between 250 and 300 hours’ study time, plus additional time for completing assignments.


Study Method

Our course is delivered via our online learning platform as this provides learners with a dynamic and engaging experience. Don’t worry, if you prefer, you can print the learning materials yourself. The learning resources are in a range of different media including videos, e-books, and online quizzes.


Course Duration

You can enrol today but this course starts on 28/09/20. You will receive your logins to MyOxbridge (our online platform) before this date but won’t be able to access the learning materials until the course officially starts.

You will benefit from our unlimited tutor support for a period of up to 24 months from the date of enrolment.


Assessment

All enrolments will be for exams in Summer 2022. If you wish to fast track your learning, please do contact us.

You will be required to complete the three standard written exams.

We provide a guaranteed exam space in one of our exam centres around the country, to take away the hassle of needing to find your own.

Assignments

During your course, you’ll be required to complete the following:

  • 1 introductory assignment
  • 10 assignments

These do not contribute towards your final grade but provide you with an opportunity to submit work to your tutor for marking and feedback. This will help you to gauge your progress as you work through the course.


Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this home learning course, you will receive an A-Level in Psychology, issued by AQA. This syllabus has been chosen specifically because it is the best suited to distance learning. Your certificate is identical to that issued to students at any other school, college or university.

Difficulty - Level 3

Entry requirements - It is strongly recommended that you have the following GCSE before starting an A-Level Psychology course: Biology (Grade B), Chemistry (Grade C), Maths (Grade C). However, equivalent courses, such as a Double or Triple Science (Grade B), IGCEs, BTEC Science or O Levels will be accepted, too.

What does study method mean?

What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
