Willie's Cacao makes some of the best chocolate in the world, and uniquely is able to sell it in a mainstream way because we buy the beans direct from the farmers and make everything ourselves.
Willie Harcourt-Cooze, cacao farmer, pioneer and chocolate fanatic, has redefined how millions of people worldwide think about chocolate. He started out buying a cacao farm in Venezuela 20 years ago, and set up the UK’s first artisan ‘bean to bar’ factory in 2008.
We make real chocolate, in small batches, ‘bean to bar’ taking up to 21 days at low temperatures, which is about 100 times longer than industrial chocolate. Because the best ingredients make the best flavours, everything is 100% natural and we use only the world’s great single estate cacaos, which Willie buys direct from the farmers.
You can find our eating, gift and cooking chocolates in some 25 countries, everywhere from prestigious locations like The British Museum, to Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Café Nero, Virgin Airways, foodservice and many hundreds of independents.
Willie is something of a celebrity in the chocolate world, after Channel 4 made two documentary series following his early adventures in chocolate.
